Video: The Metropole’s Kai Speth Explores Wartime Air Raid Shelter
In early August, workers at the Metropole in Hanoi broke through layers of reinforced concrete, opening a hole into a warren of corridors and rooms that sheltered hotel guests during the war. Here’s the hotel’s general manager, Kai Speth, as he takes a first look at these remarkable subterranean chambers.
